The Embassy of Libya Hosts an Education and Cultural Experience Event in Washington, D.C.
As part of her continuous engagement with members of Congress, on 22 February, Ambassador Bughaighis, along with members of the Embassy’s political sector, conducted a call with Chairman of the House Subcommittee on the Middle East, North Africa, and Global Counterterrorism Ted Deutch (FL-22).
In their productive meeting, Ambassador Bughaighis updated Chairman Deutch on the latest developments in all Libyan tracks, with the recent political progress paving the way for parliamentary and presidential elections on December 24, 2021. In turn, the chairman reiterated the Subcommittee’s support for the ongoing stability efforts in the country.
