The Embassy of Libya Hosts an Education and Cultural Experience Event in Washington, D.C.
The Office of the Education and Cultural Attaché Exhibits Libyan Cultural Crafts and Food at the Annual Pan African Collective
On Saturday, August 27th, 2022, the Embassy’s Office of Education and Culture curated an exhibit at an annual Pan African Collective (PAC) event in Maryland, featuring food, pictures, music, and cultural crafts. Joined by the embassy staff in traditional clothing, diplomats from other African countries, and the public from around the Washington, D.C. tri-area, the Embassy aimed to celebrate the Libyan culture while building bridges of understanding.
The Pan African Collective is a non-profit organization that fosters relationships between Africa and its diaspora, focused on improving quality of life through education, health, social, and economic programs.
“There is no better way of building bridges of understanding than to have people come together to find a common thread that unites all communities,” Rev. Dr. Jonathan Weaver.
The embassy would like to express its thanks to the PAC for hosting a venue that supported a hands-on cultural experience, providing a platform to celebrate the Libyan culture with those from America and the African diaspora in the Washington, D.C. region.
